As the New York Jets are hoping to find young stars worth building around for the future, expect the biggest season yet for wide receiver Quincy Enunwa.

Things will be much different this upcoming season with the New York Jets. They have released aging and unproductive veterans and have ushered in a rebuilding phase filled with young, promising players. When it comes to their wide receiver corps, expect to see the dynamic of the positional group change dramatically since this will be Quincy Enunwa‘s time to shine.

Coming off his best season yet with the Jets, Enunwa has everything ready to thrive this upcoming season. If either Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg emerge as the next starting quarterback of the Jets, Enunwa will enjoy leading the way as their premier No. 1 receiver.

Last season, Enunwa totaled 857 receiving yards, 58 receptions, and four touchdowns. That was with some of the most inconsistent quarterback play any receiver can ask for. Imagine what Enunwa will do with a young gunslinger at quarterback that can really air it out on offense?

Combine that with a new offensive coordinator in John Morton, Enunwa will undoubtedly be in a position to not only keep those chains moving but also double up his contributions on offense. Enunwa has experience as a tight end and well, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Morton use him in both positions to be an x-factor on offense. He’s that talented to handle both positions in stride.

All signs indicate that the Jets might go with a pass-heavy offensive playbook in 2017. They have speedy receiving options and will have an open quarterback competition to determine their next starter. Petty or Hackenberg should be able to beat out journeyman Josh McCown and prove their worth to coaches, teammates, and of course, fans all across the globe.

At 6’2″ and 225lbs, Enunwa has the size, skillset, and ability to become the next household name not only on the Jets but the football world. Last season was a small glimpse of his potential and if Morton is able to use him as a No. 1 receiving option most plays and as a red-zone threat at tight end on others, Enunwa will score a plethora of touchdowns.

Of course, everything is easier said than done but make no mistake about it, a football player entering their fourth season in the pros tend to put everything together towards major success. Enunwa did it last year and is on pace to do even bigger things this time around. If the Jets get lucky and have either Petty or Hackenberg emerge as an above-average quarterback, expect to see Enunwa surprise many this upcoming season by putting up some incredible stats.
