When it comes to literacy, it’s extremely important to show kids of all ages just how important reading is. Luckily, March 2nd, 2017 will be an important day all across the country to help Tackle Reading.

Being in the sports writing industry for well over a decade, I can’t begin to tell you just how important reading is. When it comes to kids of all ages, it’s imperative to teach them at an early age how much fun reading is and make it a daily habit. Even former safety Victor Green of the New York Jets is ready to help out when it comes to reading.

The imagination of a child is a precious commodity that must be fostered over time through the power of reading. That’s why, on March 2nd, 2017, the NFL and many others across the country will celebrate an event called “Tackle Reading Across America”. Yes, the date sounds familiar because it’s the birthday of Dr. Seuss!

Many NFL players, teams, and celebrities will promote this special event to bring awareness of reading to the masses. They will visit schools to hand out books and read with students to show kids just how much fun reading is.
