Aside from your clutch starting players, there are some other players worth acquiring in the grand scheme of things due to their potential. In Week 15 action, running back Bilal Powell and his New York Jets welcome the Miami Dolphins to MetLife Stadium for an AFC East showdown.

There are plenty of reasons why Powell should start this week in your fantasy football lineup due to the solid matchup he’s entering. It’s no secret that the Dolphins defense might have their hands full with everything Powell brings to the table.

Last week in many leagues, Powell totaled 30+ points which hit the fantasy world by storm. He wasn’t even owned in the majority of leagues as his performance against the San Francisco 49ers makes him a must-start this week against the Dolphins.

Powell scored two touchdowns and rushed for close to 150 yards as he was the ultimate sleeper pick. This week, however, fantasy owners should believe the hype as he really is worth starting since he will continue to ride this momentum.

Easily an RB2 or FLEX option, he’s the perfect candidate to rise to the occasion in your first week of the playoffs. Since it’ll be a very cold night in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday, it’ll be Powell’s time to shine once again since starting running back Matt Forte will more than likely not be playing due to injury.
