When it comes to Week 12 Fantasy Football, the D/ST of the New York Jets serves as a must-sit this week against the New England Patriots offense.
The defense of the New York Jets this season has been atrocious and at many times, painful to watch. This defense gave up 28 points to the Cleveland Browns a few weeks ago and walked out of Ohio with a 3-point advantage victory. That last sentence should thoroughly explain the amount of disappointment the Jets defense has supplied its fans this season. The fantasy football value of this defensive unit hasnāt lived up to its potential at all this season.

In standard leagues, the Jets defense is ranked as the 26th best defense out of 32 and have only scored one, double-digit performance through 11 weeks of football. Theyāre facing a high-powered Patriot offense that ranks top-7 in all offensive categories. Theyāre the 6th best offense in three categories.
Points per game with 27.1, yards per game with 387.1, and passing yards per game with 268.8. Theyāre also the 7th best defense against the run giving up 118.3 rushing yards per game. Gothamās defense, however, has surprisingly improved stats wise in recent weeks.
They rank as the 21st best defense in points allowed with 24.4, 11th in yards allowed with 345.9, 19th in passing yards per game with 260.5, and 4th against the run allowing 85.4 rushing yards per game. Despite their recent improvements of moving out of the high 20ās in statistical rankings, this defensive unit still serves as a must-sit for Week 12.

It seems like itās been ages since the Jets defense was once a top fantasy unit as this current group has failed to exploit even their most favorable matchups this season. This unit made Marquise Goodwin look like a No.1 wideout during their Week 2 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

I expect this game to be a high-scoring one on the Patriots part as New England will look to exploit the Jets weak secondary this Sunday.
