Quincy Enunwa has had a fantastic breakout season after years of waiting in the wings with the New York Jets. His excellent year reached a new peak in the Jets’ 31-28 win over the Cleveland Browns last week.

Before the 2016-2017 season, most around the NFL did not know much if anything at all about wide receiver Quincy Enunwa of the New York Jets. Coming into his third year in the league, he had not gotten much of an opportunity to shine after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 draft.

This season has been a complete change for Enunwa as the twenty-four-year-old has made a major splash around the league. Enunwa is on pace to eclipse the thousand yard mark for the first time in his career as he continues to sky-rocket his career bests as the games go by.

After a great game against the Ravens in Week 7, Enunwa responded with an even better performance. He made a number of crucial plays down the field on his way to an outstanding stat line of four catches for 93 yards and one touchdown.

Enunwa did an even better job of getting open than his numbers from the game say. If it weren’t for a few disappointing drops, his numbers would have been on another level of greatness.

Enunwa’s standout play from the Jets’ Week 7 matchup was his 24-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. On this play, Enunwa caught the pass inside the fifteen-yard line and went on to make four defenders miss as he was determined to find the end zone.

Plays like that touchdown where Enunwa has shown that he has all of the physical tools to be a star for years to come. He has good speed and athleticism along with great size and strength plus an arsenal of moves. These factors make Enunwa a great target for any quarterback, and an absolute tank when he gets into the open field.
