Heading into Fantasy Football Week 6 action, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick won’t do much of anything against the defense of the Arizona Cardinals.
In Week 6 action on Monday Night Football, the New York Jets hit the road to face the Arizona Cardinals. The Jets are coming off their third consecutive loss last week thanks to the Pittsburgh Steelers while the Cardinals are running the momentum of a Week 5 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Should fantasy football owners consider taking a risk with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick this week?

Unfortunately for those that still cling on to hope that “Fitzmagic” returns in primetime football, that won’t be the case. While Fitzpatrick has been playing mostly to keep his starting job at this point in time, he’s clearly not the same quarterback we remember from Week 2.
Fitzpatrick has been frazzled for the most part and when playing the speedy, aggressive, and consistent defense of the Cardinals, it won’t bode well for him. The Cardinals’ defensive secondary will have a field day against him and especially with the banged up and depleted wide receiver corps of the Jets.
Wide receiver Eric Decker is out for the season due to a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder and Brandon Marshall continues to do everything in his power to make the Jets succeed. Problem is, one man can’t carry an entire offense as Marshall is also dealing with nagging injuries to his knee and ankle.

Fantasy owners should sit Fitzpatrick this week and even consider parting ways for good. If he puts up another dud performance with the Jets, they will more than likely bench him in favor of Geno Smith.
If he has a multiple-interception performance against the Cardinals, he might even be removed in this matchup. The risk is too great to waste a starting spot in your lineup on him in Week 6.
Use another quarterback this week or at the very least, grab one off the waiver wire that has the potential to earn a decent amount of fantasy points. Things could get real ugly for Fitzpatrick in Arizona on Monday Night Football.

Overall, things will continue to spell “Fitztragic” as the season progresses thanks to the brutal schedule of the Jets. Fantasy owners would be wise to bench Fitzpatrick this week as that could possibly be the real life situation that hits the Jets at some point this season and it could all start against the Cardinals.
