When it comes to Week 4 Fantasy Football, the D/ST of the New York Jets serves as a surprising start against the Seattle Seahawks.
Yes, the defense and special teams of the New York Jets actually serve as a solid start for this week of fantasy football. The Jets have their fair share of issues that need to be addressed, particularly their secondary. According to NFL.com, the Jets defense currently ranks18th in passing yards allowed per game with 248.7 and 23rd in points allowed with 20.7.

Doesn’t sound like the statistics of a starting caliber fantasy football defense, does it? However, opposing defenses such as the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins, have scored double-digit points against the Seahawks. Two defenses that, in standard leagues rank between the 10th-15th best defenses along with the Jets.
It’s also worth mentioning that quarterback Russell Wilson of the Seahawks is banged up with knee and ankle injuries. He’s far from being 100% healthy. Wide receiver Doug Baldwin has been battling injuries of his own but given his performance, last week, he is a definite go for Week 4.
Their backup quarterback is an inexperienced rookie, Trevone Boykin, out of TCU. So far this season, he has recorded 65 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. Seattle’s offensive line has also allowed their quarterback to be sacked a total of seven times.

The solid defensive line of the Jets already has nine sacks on the season.
With Wilson’s status for this Sunday listed as questionable, expect a less explosive offensive performance from Seattle with or without him. One sack from
One sack from Muhammad Wilkerson or Sheldon Richardson could permanently take him out of the game.
As per the Media Relations Department of the Jets, head coach Pete Carroll stated he would be “shocked” if Wilson doesn’t play Sunday.
Either way, whichever quarterback the Seahawks decide to start on Sunday, start the Jets defense and special teams as they should soar.
