The New York Jets are set to welcome the New York Giants to a green and white version of MetLife Stadium as they do everything they can to take home the Snoopy trophy.

Tonight at 7:30pm ET, the New York Jets invite the New York Giants to try and take away the Snoopy trophy they earned last year. Gang Green beat Big Blue last year and one better believe that revenge will be in the eyes of the Giants.

If you’re in the New York area, tune into WCBS-TV, Channel 2 for the game. Also keep in mind that game will re-air on the NFL Network on Sunday, August 28th at 7:30am ET as well as Tuesday, August 30th at 1:00pm ET.

THEME OF THE GAME: High School Football Night.

CO-PILOT OF THE GAME: Season Ticket Holder James Dowd will be the honorary coin toss participant. James has been a season ticket holder since 1981.

Pregame Notes

METLIFE BOWL: Celebrating the sixth year of the MetLife Bowl, MetLife has been a part of the New York area for more than 148 years and has a long commitment to community involvement. MetLife Stadium and the MetLife Bowl create new opportunities to further that effort. As in recent years, MetLife Foundation will make a total of $50,000 in donations to local charities. Both the Jets and the Giants have a commitment to helping kids exercise and be healthy, so they have partnered with charities that help to create playgrounds, parks, and other healthy play spaces.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: The National Anthem will be performed by 75 members of the Northport High School Choir.

PLAYER INTRO TUNNEL: Players from Sachem and Chatham high school football teams will form a tunnel on the field during player introductions, additional players from New York/New Jersey high school teams will hold Jets logo flags on the field throughout pregame activities.

Halftime

YOUTH FOOTBALL: Four youth football teams will be competing during halftime when the West Babylon Golden Eagles take on the Elmont Panthers and the Keansburg Titans face off against the Massapequa Mustangs.

On the Plaza

VERIZON: Fan’s attending tonight’s game can visit the Verizon Fan Zone for a chance to be upgraded to better seats, play the Verizon Game Time virtual reality experience, watch NFL Mobile, enjoy complimentary phone charging and more.

PREMIO SAUSAGE: The Premio Sausage truck will be in parking lots E and F giving away free samples of their sweet and hot sausages, in addition to other giveaways.

GEN JETS KIDS ZONE: Jets Fest, presented by Chase, will be located between the Verizon and SAP Gates. It will include inflatables, a DJ, sidewalk chalk, a photo booth, a juggler, and Flight Crew signings.

ESPN RADIO: ESPN NY 98.7 FM with Don La Greca and Anthony Becht will broadcast live from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. on the MetLife Stage.

METLIFE CENTRAL: Former New York Jets offensive lineman Damien Woody will be signing autographs at the MetLife Central Stage from 5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

JETS EXPERIENCE: Inside the “Jets Experience,” find out how you size up against current Jets players, study up on your Jets history, and take fun photos with oversized J-E-T-S letters and the logo gloves sculpture. New for this season, fans can pose for pictures on a life-sized trading card backdrop.

SNY Dream Day

SNY DREAM DAY EXPERIENCE:  In partnership with the New York Jets, SNY will conduct their Dream Day Experience for nine-year-old Cole Axelrod.  Cole, who is suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, is being honored as part of SNY’s Play Ball Program.  Cole will receive a complimentary bag of Jets items including a $100 Jets gift card for the team store, serve as the honorary captain for the coin toss, watch pre-game warm-ups from the sideline and get to meet players outside of the locker room after the game. The piece will air on SNY on Sunday, September 18.
