Unlike past years, the NY Jets are actually taking the right approach when it comes to facing their AFC East rival in the New England Patriots this time around.
The NY Jets are set to face easily the biggest challengeĀ of their season as they prepare to take on the New England Patriots in Week 7 action. The Patriots are defending Super Bowl champions and for good reason as theyāre playing some of the most incredible football youāll see this season, hence their perfect 5-0 record thus far.
They have been outscoring opponents with ease and their defense has actually been holding up despite all their off-season departures. Head coach Todd Bowles will face the one team that has dominated the Jets for the past decade or so. Something tells me these arenāt the same old Jets in how theyāve been handling their preparations so far this week.
Thanks to the Media Relations Department of the Jets, here is a quote directly from Bowles and how he views their next opponent:
On how he manages the āone game at a timeā mantra against the Patriotsā¦
Weāre not going to look at everything else, this is a division game for us. We want to win division games. Itās still one game at a time. Wining this game is not going to make us, losing this game is not going to break us. Weāre going to take the same approach weāve been taking. You donāt get up or down for one game because it means you havenāt been playing hard in the first place. Weāre going to continue to do our job and get better as a team and weāll go forward from there.

Rather powerful words from Bowles if I do say so myself. This team is never satisfied and is always wanting more, no matter who they face or what their record states. Thatās an incredible mentalityĀ to have as thanks to Bowles, itās business as usual for the Jets this week as they are going to absolutely bring it to the Patriots this upcoming week to hand them their first loss of the season.
I absolutely love what Bowles brings to the table as his coaching style is perfect for this team. He keeps it all about business while also making sure the players are having fun when they execute their assignments. Itās a tricky balance to do but Bowles has done it seamlessly so far since the moment he arrived.
