EXCLUSIVE: Adventures at MetLife Central

Let me be one of the many that will tell fans of either the New York Jets or New York Giants that the new MetLife Central will be an awesome experience for those attending home games this upcoming season. I was recently able to personally be among the many to experience MetLife Central this past weekend in the annual MetLife Bowl.

But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here, let’s go through the entire adventure and then we’ll arrive back at MetLife Central. I started my adventure in Oswego, New York which is four and a half hours away from MetLife.

One of the best moments of the trip was getting to meet the rest of the staff here at The Jet Press. I thought I had known them from all the contact on social media, but today was the day I met them all in person. It was a very surreal experience and now that I look back at Saturday’s festivities it still seems very surreal, almost like it was a dream. From seeing the infamous Snoopy statue, to seeing MetLife stadium, I had the time of my life.

Getting back to the focus of this story which was the exclusive inside look I got at MetLife Central, the nucleus of the fan experience here in New Jersey is pretty awesome. I have never seen so many cool and interesting things to do at a stadium before. It’s so beyond the actual game itself that is played on the turf at MetLife.

Something that is obviously really important to both teams is to ensure a unique fan experience and let me tell you, they’ve really done a masterful job to make sure that is the case. Our senses were taken on an adventure from the virtual sights of MetLife, to the delicious smelling nacho stands, to the sweet sound of the J-E-T-S chant after a green and white touchdown. There’s nothing quite like actually being in the stadium, in the middle of the game and engulfed in the atmosphere of fellow fans enjoying football in August.

After all the fun with the pre-game festivities at MetLife Central, we made our way up the winding staircase to the heavens of MetLife in the 300 section where our seats awaited.

Of course by now all Jets fan know what happened in the Jets third preseason contest: a 28-18 win that was more dominating than the scoreboard indicates. The game was highlighted by a slew of big plays and that was the story of the game. From defensive touchdowns to special team touchdowns the Jets had efficient offensive performance that inspired hope and hype amongst Jets fans watching around the world for the season.

It was all in all a fantastic performance to cap-off an amazing day, but just because the game ended doesn’t mean all the fun was over. If you read my last adventure article, you’d know my life isn’t that simple. If you’d like to re-visit my last adventure to Jets training camp click the link below:
