Mock draft season is in full swing. No, the Super Bowl hasn’t taken place yet, but we know the draft order, other than the last two teams of course. So, as we have been outlining for weeks already, the experts all over the map have been releasing their thoughts on the upcoming NFL draft. Who will the Bucs choose number one? Who will the Jets draft with Maccagnan’s first pick? The world speculates.

At Fansided, we are no different. This week, the Fansided mock draft we are going to feature comes from Josh Sanchez of our parent website, Fansided. Josh is one of the more talented writers from the parent site; check him out, he has a lot of great insights.

So, what does Sanchez have to say here? Who does he have the Jets choosing with the sixth pick of the upcoming NFL draft? Let’s see……..

Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State

For entertainment’s sake, Jameis Winston and the New York media would be an unbelievable pairing. Whether Winston is able to remain a top draft prospect throughout the process is something we will have to wait to see, but there is no denying the Jets have a quarterback nightmare on their hands and need to find a way to get back on track.

You all know how I feel about this by now. Jameis Winston, to me, is the far more pro-ready quarterback in this draft than Marcus Mariota. Winston has great feet, and I love the torque he gets in his throwing motion. I believe that Winston is the #1 quarterback in this draft, and it isn’t close.

My only worry is that if Winston drops to six, he is going to go further than that. Why? Character issues. If his character issues drop him down to number six in the draft, the Jets likely will have those same concerns. I worry that he might go above us, or way below us. I want the Jets to take Winston, we will see what Maccagnan thinks.
