The New York Jets take it to primetime on Monday night. The Jets take on Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall and the rest of Marc Trestman’s Chicago Bears. The Bears will pose a tough test for the Jets’ secondary with the threats of Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery looking across the line.

The Jets and the Bears have faced off ten times through the years, with the Bears winning seven of them, including the last three straight. The last time these two teams met was in December of 2010, when the Jets fell in a shootout by the score of 38-34. The Jets and Bears played in New Jersey most recently in 2006, when the Bears, led by then-running back Thomas Jones rushing for 121 yards, shut the Jets out by a 10-0 margin.
Geno Smith performed well last time the Jets played on Monday night, last year in Atlanta. That night, Geno was 16-20 for 199 yards and three touchdowns, a career best 147.7 quarterback rating. Geno has also won four out of his last six starts with the Jets. Chris Johnson will be looking for his fourth straight Monday night game with 100 or more rushing yards. Calvin Pace and Quinton Coples will be looking to continue consecutive game streaks with a sack against the NFC for the Jets. Calvin is looking for his fourth straight, and Quinton is looking for his third.
Jay Cutler has been quite good on Monday nights, winning his last three starts on MNF, as well as six of the last seven. The last time these two teams met, Matt Forte ran wild on the Jets, with 169 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. The Bears’ dynamic duo at wide receiver has been good on Monday nights as well. Brandon Marshall has posted either 100+ receiving yards or a touchdown in his last seven games on Monday night. Alshon Jeffery is looking for his third straight on Monday night with a touchdown.
