Heading into Week 14 Fantasy Football action, owners would be wise to give wide receiver Quincy Enunwa a start thanks to finally having a better quarterback under center.

Finally, the New York Jets made a move that makes total football sense. They permanently benched quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and are starting Bryce Petty for the rest of the season. Not only should he breathe some fresh air into the Jets offense, but it should help the fantasy football value of his receiving corps. Especially wide receiver Quincy Enunwa.

It’s no secret that Enunwa has suffered through the ups and many downs of the Jets offense this season. It all comes down to quarterback play since Enunwa has actually been a pleasant surprise for what is considered a lost season this year. His preparation, ability to keep those chains moving and his potential all make him ready to be the next big thing on offense for years to come.

This week, the Jets hit the road to face the San Francisco 49ers, yes, it’s a tale of two of the worst teams in the NFL. Who will leave this game victorious? Well, it’s hard to tell in the grand scheme of things.

The Jets at least, on paper, have more talent than the 49ers. The 49ers have lost eleven straight but this game could really go either way. Gang Green has a slight advantage thanks to the unknown of Petty and what he could potentially bring to the table. All of which bodes well for Enunwa.

All signs point to Enunwa getting back on track this week and proving he’s a force to reckon with. Petty has a much better arm and should be able to hit Enunwa in stride and focus on a pass-oriented offensive attack come Sunday.

For some fantasy football owners, this is playoffs week and every start is risky with players that are inconsistent like Enunwa has been. Again, it’s nothing against him but the unfortunate situation he’s been in with Fitzpatrick this season. Enunwa is a decent WR2 option as Petty should be able to make some noise with him and bring a good amount of fantasy points. He’s worth starting due to the favorable matchup he’s heading into against the 49ers.
