After another atrocious performance in Week 10, the NY Jets, sitting at 3-7, are all but mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Despite a nice win fueled by their second-half performance over the Houston Texans, the Jets getting blown out 31-6 by the Arizona Cardinals found this team finding a new level of rock bottom.

The 2025 NFL Draft has begun to get in the minds of many fans across the league, including Jets fans. With New York in complete disarray, having a 90% chance of missing the postseason for a 14th straight season, it is time to look ahead to April.

Unfortunately, Jets fans are all too familiar with draft talk that starts before Halloween and picks up steam before Thanksgiving. However, with questions surrounding Aaron Rodgers' future, if the Jets find themselves high enough in the draft, maybe 2025 is finally the year New York finds their savior.

Where the NY Jets might pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

With the Jets at 3-7, if the season were to end today, they would hold the eighth pick in the draft. Whether or not this would be good enough to get a top quarterback is unknown, but it would be the first time since 2022 that New York holds a pick inside the top 10.

As of right now, the Jets have a 53.3% chance of getting a top-ten pick and a 17% chance of getting a pick inside the top five. On top of this, the Jets are only one game out of the first overall pick currently held by the Jacksonville Jaguars. With seven games remaining, Gang Green currently has a slim 2% chance to end up with the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Once the clock hits triple zeroes on the Jets' 2024 season, New York will clean house and start over. On the outside, New York doesn't look like a good destination for many coaches and general managers because of the poor ownership and the full-on rebuild they would be inheriting.

However, if the Jets avoid winning meaningless games like they typically do this time of year and instead secure a top draft pick, this team could quickly become a more favorable landing spot.

A top-five or potentially top-three pick would put the Jets in a prime position to take one of the top signal callers in this draft, such as Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Jalen Milroe, and others.
