In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano put together a complete tier list of starting quarterback options for the NY Jets in 2025. The list includes rookie QBs such as Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders as well as veterans like Justin Fields and Kirk Cousins.

The Jets will have a new quarterback in 2025 after officially deciding to part ways with Aaron Rodgers. The team will have its fair share of options as they turn to free agency, the 2025 NFL Draft, and even a pair of internal options.

Justin and Mike put together a complete tier list of 20 possible quarterback options for the Jets next season. The options ranged from feasible candidates such as Fields, Derek Carr, etc. to less-than-ideal possibilities like Carson Wentz and, yes, even Joe Flacco.

The only quarterback to receive an "S Tier" ranking was Los Angeles Rams star Matthew Stafford, who has been the subject of trade rumors. Stafford is an unrealistic option for the Jets, but if somehow became available, it would be hard to turn him down.

More realistic "A Tier" candidates included Carr, Fields, and Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Carr seems like a logical target for the Jets if he shakes free from New Orleans while Fields gives the Jets a high-upside bridge starter, admittedly with a lower floor.

Ward is an exciting quarterback prospect in this year's draft class, but it would be surprising if he fell to the No. 7 overall pick. Both Justin and Mike agreed it probably wouldn't be worth it to trade up to land him.

Other rookie QBs such as Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, and Jalen Milroe were all discussed at length in what was our longest show to date. Should the Jets take a chance on any of these young quarterbacks? Find out what we had to say!

Some solid "B Tier" options include Sam Darnold (another unlikely target), Russell Wilson, and Jameis Winston, while Justin and Mike had a disagreement over where Kirk Cousins should land.

We even broke down possible trades for players like Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton, although neither placed particularly high on our rankings. This was as in-depth of a Jets quarterback analysis as you're going to find.

Finally, Justin and Mike analyzed Tyrod Taylor and Jordan Travis, breaking down what their roles could be in 2025. Is Taylor a legitimate candidate to start? What does the future hold for Travis? All of that was discussed.
