In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano participate in the great New York Jets draft debate: Arvell Reese vs. Rueben Bain Jr. vs. David Bailey. We also discuss Robert Saleh's new job and the Buffalo Bills' dysfunction.

The show started with a brief discussion about ex-Jets head coach Robert Saleh landing a new job as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. We discussed the overall disingenuous sentiment around Saleh's failed Jets tenure and whether we believe he will find success in Nashville.

That transitioned into a conversation about the ongoing dysfunction in Buffalo after the Bills' decision to fire head coach Sean McDermott earlier this week. That dysfunction reached a fever pitch during owner Terry Pegula's embarrassing press conference on Wednesday.

For at least one day, the Jets weren't the laughingstock of the AFC East. Pegula made sure to one-up Woody Johnson and provide a temporary reprieve from that distinction.

The bulk of the show was dedicated to the great Jets draft debate regarding who the team should target with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft: Ohio State hybrid linebacker/edge rusher Arvell Reese, Miami defensive end Rueben Bain Jr., or Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey.

Justin and Mike took a look at some stats from all three players and discussed their potential fits with the Jets, agreeing that the No. 2 pick might be a bit rich for Bailey at this stage. Reese and Bain, however, are very much in play.

Reese's evaluation will be fascinating and likely vary from team to team. Is he a true edge rusher at the NFL level, or is he more of an off-ball linebacker? Different teams will have varying opinions.

Bain is an easier, safer evaluation. The star Miami defensive end is a high-floor prospect who feels like a lock to be an excellent 10-year plus-starter at the NFL level, but is his ceiling as high as Reese's? Does that matter?

This was a really interesting conversation, one that's probably worth checking out. There are arguments to be made for both players.
