In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano debunk some hot NY Jets takes, discuss the recent Garrett Wilson trade rumors, and break down Ben Johnson's head coach candidacy.

The show started with a discussion about various Jets hot takes Justin and Mike have seen floating around over the last few days, the first of which was the belief that the Jets should run it back with Aaron Rodgers in 2025 if he plays well over the final four weeks of the season.

Justin and Mike make a case to leave Rodgers in the past and cut bait in the offseason. It's probably in the best interest of the organization, both financially and logistically, to move on and reshape their quarterback room.

The next hot take discussed was the opinion that the Jets should trade running back Breece Hall. The emergence of rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis has led some to believe that the Jets should trade Hall while his value is high, but such an idea is completely nonsensical.

The final hot take discussed was actually a quote from interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, who told reporters on Wednesday that Haason Reddick has been everything the Jets wanted him to be. Justin and Mike break down why Ulbrich's quote is preposterous.

The conversation then shifted to the recent Garrett Wilson trade rumors. Wilson is reportedly unhappy in New York and some within (and outside) the organization believe he will eventually request a trade.

Justin and Mike analyzed these recent trade rumors and strategized ways to keep Wilson in Florham Park. The Jets must do everything they can to keep Wilson happy.

Finally, Justin and Mike broke down Ben Johnson's head coach candidacy, both in relation to the Jets and elsewhere. Johnson reportedly has specific criteria as he enters the head coach market this offseason. Should the Jets be considered a viable landing spot for the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator?
