Travon Walker is a best-case scenario for the NY Jets in the 2022 NFL Draft

Travon Walker's upside
Walker was a force to be reconned with in the colligate ranks. He was the best overall player on a Georgia defense that ranked among the best in history while leading his team all the way to their first championship since 1980.
He is a premier run defender with the versatility to line up anywhere on the defensive line. He can win in edge-rushing situations and excels as a rush defender and space-eater in the middle.
Despite his imposing 6-foot-5, 272-pound frame, Walker's strength and athleticism somehow jump off the page. His ability to displace would-be blockers stands out on his tape. At times, it appears almost violent. Think DeForest Buckner-type talent and playmaking.
Travon Walker's NFL player comparison
In terms of NFL player comparisons, Buckner seems to represent a fair ceiling. The two-time All-Pro and two-time Pro-Bowler has become one of the league's premier interior pass rushers with San Fransisco and Indianapolis.
While Buckner represents the high end of Walker's potential, former top pick Jadeveon Clowney is a good comparison for his floor.
While Clowney has never developed into the pass-rushing threat that many expected, he has established himself as one of the best-run defenders in the league. Walker enters the NFL with this skill set already intact.
