The Jet Press Podcast: Zach Wilson era is over, Dalvin Cook released, Pro Bowl predictions

In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the end of the Zach Wilson era and the release of Dalvin Cook and Rodger Saffold. They also give their Pro Bowl predictions and preview the NY Jets' upcoming Week 18 game against the New England Patriots.

The Jets announced on Wednesday that Zach Wilson will miss the team's season finale against the Patriots on Sunday. This, in all liklihood, should be the end of the Wilson era in New York.

After three years with the Jets, all signs point to the organization moving on from Wilson this offseason. Justin and Mike discuss what this means for Wilson's future and which teams make sense as potential landing spots.

The Jets also announced the release of two players on Tuesday — running back Dalvin Cook and offensive guard Rodger Saffold (practice squad). Was the Cook signing a predictable disaster from the start? Where did the Jets go wrong with him?

As for Saffold, do we have any evidence that he was even on the team? The Jets supposedly planned to elevate Saffold to the active roster before long, but that never happened. What should fans make of this situation?

With NFL Pro Bowl rosters expected to be released tonight at 8 pm ET, Justin and Mike quickly offered their predictions for which Jets players they expect to make the team. Quincy Williams, Sauce Gardner, and Thomas Morstead all seem like strong candidates.
