In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss their top free-agent targets for the NY Jets this offseason and a recap of the 2024 NFL Combine, complete with a pair of standouts who improved their draft stock.

With the start of NFL free agency less than a week away, Justin and Mike went through position-by-position to identify the top targets for the Jets this offseason.

The conversation began with a discussion about the best available backup quarterback options for the Jets. Two names that popped up in the discussion were veterans Jacoby Brissett and Ryan Tannehill.

The Jets will also need to address wide receiver in a big way this offseason. Aside from Calvin Ridley, which free-agent wide receivers make the most sense for the Jets? The likes of Marquise Brown, Kendrick Bourne, and Tyler Boyd seem like realistic targets. Don't rule out a Courtland Sutton trade, either.

Perhaps the biggest need for the Jets this offseason will be the offensive line. The Jets are expected to be active in the offensive line market in free agency, with players like Tyron Smith, Trent Brown, Mike Onwenu, Kevin Zeitler, and Robert Hunt among the many potential options.

The defensive side of the ball also needs to be addressed in free agency. For defensive tackle, players like Greg Gaines and former Jets draft pick Foley Fatukasi make plenty of sense.

The Jets likely won't spend big on a free-agent safety this offseason, even if someone like Kameron Curl would be a huge addition. With that in mind, Justin and Mike discussed the likes of Tashaun Gipson, Darnell Savage, and Quandre Diggs as potential low-cost targets.
