In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss Mekhi Becton's recent comments and Zach Wilson's future with the NY Jets or elsewhere.
The first topic of discussion was Becton and his latest comments that seemed to place blame on the Jets' coaching staff for the knee injury he suffered last season. Needless to say, his comments caused quite the stir.
Was Becton justified in his comments? How did the Jets' coaching staff react to Becton's words? What does this mean for his future with the team, both short and long-term? Justin and Mike broke it all down and shared their thoughts on the issue.
The conversation then shifted to Zach Wilson and what his future might look like. Wilson was one of the standouts from Tuesday's OTAs practice. With Aaron Rodgers sidelined due to a minor calf injury, Wilson stepped up and showed out.
What does the future hold for Wilson with the Jets? Is it possible that he could still carve out a long-term role with the Jets or another team? Those were the questions Justin and Mike looked to answer.
Becton isn't the only Jets player to make some noteworthy comments in recent days. Safety Chuck Clark seemingly took a shot at his former team, the Baltimore Ravens, when speaking to the media.
Justin and Mike discussed Clark's comments and his role with the Jets in 2023. What is the plan at safety? Could the Jets bring in someone like John Johnson or Adrian Amos to pair with Clark?
Finally, Justin and Mike took part in a brand new minigame called "Guess the Jet," in which they shared the draft profiles of former Jets draft picks with each other and attempted to guess the player.
Play along at home for some fun Jets draft retrospective. Good luck, though, because some of them weren't easy by any means.
