- How to fix the Jets offense
- Michael Carter released
- Bills preview
By Justin Fried
In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss changes the NY Jets must make on offense, the state of the running back room following Michael Carter's release, and the team's upcoming Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills.
The episode started with a conversation about the Jets' offense, specifically the state of the team's running back room following the departure of Carter.
With Carter now out of the picture, rookie Israel Abanikanda is expected to be given an opportunity to contribute on offense. What should Jets fans expect from the team's 2023 fifth-round pick?
Abanikanda isn't the only Jets running back who serves to benefit from Carter's departure. Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook should both be in line for more work, especially on third down.
Justin and Mike also discussed the Jets' tight-end position. Head coach Robert Saleh seemed to suggest on Wednesday that Jeremy Ruckert would be elevated to TE2 above C.J. Uzomah. Given Uzomah's struggles, this is undoubtedly a good move for the offense.
What else do the Jets need to fix on offense? What does offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett need to do to get this offense on track? All of that was discussed.
Finally, Justin and Mike broke down the Jets' upcoming Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills. Did the Bills make the right decision to fire Ken Dorsey? How much blame does Josh Allen deserve for the Bills' issues this season? What do the Jets need to do to secure a win? We break it all down.
