In the newest edition of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano debated whether the NY Jets should target Aaron Rodgers or Derek Carr. Justin and Mike also discussed Mike White's future and took a closer look at the 2023 Senior Bowl.
Both Rodgers and Carr have been heavily connected to the Jets in recent weeks, and at this stage, it seems likely that one of the two will be the team's quarterback entering the 2023 season.
Rodgers certainly offers more of an upside, but he also presents more of a risk. There's a lack of certainty surrounding Rodgers — both as it pertains to acquiring him and his future roster status.
As for Carr, he's probably more attainable than Rodgers, and it wouldn't cost the same type of draft capital to trade for him. That said, Carr's decision is on more of a deadline. Justin and Mike dive into the pros and cons of acquiring both quarterbacks.
We also discussed Mike White's future, and whether that's with the Jets or another team. Do the Jets re-sign White to be their backup? What might it cost to get a deal done? Could they find an upgrade? All of that is discussed.
Finally, Justin and Mike took a look at a host of 2023 NFL Draft prospects to keep an eye on at this year's Senior Bowl. From Dawand Jomes to Rashee Rice, we broke down the top prospects in Mobile this week.
