In today's episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the latest with Dalvin Cook, Kwon Alexander signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, some NY Jets position battles, and tomorrow's Hall of Fame Game.

Cook visited with the Jets this past weekend, and many believed the four-time Pro Bowler would soon after agree to a deal with Gang Green. However, to this point, Cook remains unsigned.

Should the Jets still be considered the favorites to sign Cook? Should the Jets even want to sign him? How aggressive should the Jets be in their pursuit? All of that was discussed.

Speaking of free agents, the Jets lost out on the opportunity to re-sign veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander this week when the former Pro Bowler signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Jets had interest in Alexander but weren't able to agree on a price point. With Alexander out of the picture, what should the Jets do at linebacker? Is it Jamien Sherwood's time to shine, or could the Jets sign someone else?

We are two weeks into Jets training camp, and many of the team's position battles have begun to take shape. What's the latest on the competition at positions like center, offensive tackle, safety, and wide receiver? Justin and Mike break it all down.

Finally, Justin and Mike gave a brief preview of Thursday's preseason opener, detailing a few Jets players to keep an eye on in the Hall of Fame Game. Zach Wilson and Mekhi Becton headline the list.
