Sauce Gardner has beef with Stefon Diggs' nephew at 2024 Pro Bowl
By Justin Fried
NY Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is having some fun with his teammates and fellow NFL stars at the 2024 Pro Bowl in Orlando. And he might be starting some beef with one of his peer's kids.
Gardner was mic'd up during Friday's Pro Bowl practice, and he had an encounter with Aaiden Diggs, the son of Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs and the nephew of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The younger Diggs took a shot at Gardner, calling the All-Pro cornerback out for "talking trash" about his uncle. Diggs then told Gardner that his uncle, Stefon, scored on him during the team's Week 1 game against the Bills while a crowd of Pro Bowlers laughed along.
Gardner joked around with Diggs, insisting that he doesn't remember that happened (because it didn't), but the two agreed to disagree before going their separate ways. The fun interaction can be seen below.
Gardner and Diggs continued to go at it later on in the day when the Jets cornerback was tasked with guarding the 7-year-old in a red-zone "drill." Gardner let Diggs get open in the end zone, only for the pass to go through his hands.
Sauce Gardner is representing the NY Jets and having fun at the Pro Bowl
Gardner is joined in Orlando by fellow Jets Pro Bowlers Quinnen Williams and Jermaine Johnson, the latter of whom was named as an injury replacement for Khalil Mack this week.
It's been a long time since the Jets have had a young core of lovable and talented players like Gardner and company. In many ways, Gardner has become the face of the organization.
He's a two-time first-team All-Pro, a Rookie of the Year, and almost inarguably the best cornerback in the NFL. At just 23 years old, Gardner is one of the best players in the NFL at any position, and he's already proven to be an on and off-field vocal leader for his team.
The Jets couldn't be any happier that Gardner is the one representing the team at the Pro Bowl in Orlando. Oh, and someone should tell Aaiden Diggs to watch that Week 1 game again. His uncle definitely didn't score on Gardner.
