8. NY Jets linebackers

Over the years, linebacker has been one of, if not the most consistent groups for the Jets, with names such as Bart Scott and David Harris leading the way, but unfortunately, depth is a big problem for this team in 2023.

C.J. Mosley will once again be a Pro Bowl-caliber starter and a leader of this defense, and Quincy Williams has shown plenty of potential too. Beyond that, however, the Jets are looking to some unproven, inexperienced names unless they could make a late-offseason addition similar to 2022 with Kwon Alexander.

Until that happens, however, this is a unit that could struggle for consistency in 2023. But if the defensive line and cornerback groups can live up to their hype, it will make the job easier for this linebacker core. Even then, it's tough to look past the weaknesses of this group, though.

7. NY Jets tight ends

The tight end position is one the Jets haven't historically thrived in, but now, they've added some great pieces over the past two years, with both Tyler Conklin and C.J. Uzomah expected to make a big impact in the passing game this year.

Beyond that, the team is locked in for the future as well, but for right now, this is the weakest yet still very talented group on the offensive side of the ball. With a star at quarterback, they should improve on very solid production from the 2022 season.

With depth, talent, and diversity, this unit should be able to star as pass catchers, run and pass blockers, and any other way this team needs. If they stay healthy, we could be looking at 1,000 or more yards from the position as a whole in 2023.
