On Monday the New York Jets unveiled their new throwback uniforms for the 2023 season. The team is calling it the 'Legacy White' uniform and it harkens back to the team's look in the early 1980's.

Of course that era of Jets football is best remembered for the 'New York Sack Exchange.'

A defensive line that featured Mark Gastineau, Marty Lyons, Joe Klecko and Abdul Salaam wreaked havoc across the NFL, racking up 66 sacks in 1981.

Now, the Jets will look to add some more history and create a new legacy for the throwback threads. And fan reception has largely been positive - as it should be. After all, the unis are crisp, clean and simple.
