The NY Jets went into their Week 2 matchup looking to bounce back after a loss to the Carolina Panthers a week ago. But it's hard to have imagined a worse start for Zach Wilson and the Jets.

Following a punt on the Patriots' first drive, Wilson threw an interception to cornerback J.C. Jackson on his first throw of the day.

The pass was forced to wide receiver Corey Davis in triple coverage and after a pair of deflections, fell right into the hands of Jackson.

The Jets' defense was able to hold the Patriots to a field goal giving Wilson and the offense a chance at redemption. But it didn't take long for disaster to strike again.

Wilson was intercepted on his very next pass, this time another throw to Davis that went right through the wide receiver's hands.

The pass was high and Wilson could have checked the ball down to rookie Elijah Moore in the flats, but it was likely a ball that Davis should have caught.

It doesn't matter, though. The stat line will read, Zach Wilson: two passes, two interceptions.

It's been a nightmare start for Zach Wilson and the NY Jets

Wilson had a promising debut in Week 1 finishing 20-of-37 for 258 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He was particularly impressive in the second half against the Carolina Panthers.

The Jets will certainly be hoping for a better second half from Wilson after this disastrous start.

The Jets already trail 10-0 following two Patriots scoring drives, both of which capitalized on Wilson interceptions.

Here's to hoping that things turn around in a hurry. For the sake of Zach Wilson and the Jets, they need a better second half.
