NY Jets: Zach Wilson injured on late hit against Patriots
By Justin Fried
NY Jets fans are holding their breath after quarterback Zach Wilson was taken to the locker room following an apparent leg injury suffered in the second quarter of the team's Week 7 game.
Wilson was injured after being hit by Patriots defender Matt Judon on what appeared to be a late hit, although the only flag on the play was a defensive pass interference on the Patriots.
The Jets sideline was fuming looking for a penalty, but none came. Wilson remained on the ground for an extended period of time before walking off with trainers.
Backup quarterback Mike White came in and eventually found Corey Davis in the corner of the end zone to get the Jets on the board. But soon after, Wilson trotted into the locker room.
The concern here is obviously with Wilson.

The Jets have listed Wilson as questionable to return with a knee injury. White will take the reins to the offense for the time being.
Wilson and the Jets entered Week 7 looking to bounce back after a loss to the Atlanta Falcons two weeks ago. The hope was that their bye week would give them a chance to regroup.
Especially after their disastrous showing against the Patriots in Week 2. Wilson, in particular, was in need of a bounce-back performance after tossing four interceptions in his first outing against New England.
Now, he might not get that chance.
Wilson is temporarily sidelined, and the NY Jets are surely hoping that his injury isn't anything serious.
