The NY Jets were treated to a better performance from their offensive line than many were probably expected in 2021. And one such individual who was thankful for their play was rookie quarterback Zach Wilson.

Wilson posted a video to Twitter on Friday showing him reward each member of the Jets' offensive line with round-trip plane tickets to anywhere they want to go.

Wilson had plenty to be thankful about too. Despite their struggles down the stretch (mostly due to injuries), the Jets' offensive line overachieved in 2021 and put together a pretty efficient season.

Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus even ranked the Jets' offensive line 11th in the NFL in his end-of-the-year offensive line rankings. The unit was more effective in pass protection with left tackle George Fant leading the way.

For whatever reason, Wilson's character has come into question on numerous occasions over the last year or so, even before he was drafted to New York. But without any merit to those claims, moments like this certainly help make that narrative look foolish.

The Jets' quarterback finished his rookie season on a high note going without an interception in each of his final five games. Considering he led the NFL in interceptions prior to his knee injury, that's certainly a promising development.

The hope is that Wilson can continue to develop next season and a competent offensive line would certainly go a long way toward assisting that development.

The Jets are expected to return Mekhi Becton and the team is certainly looking for the young offensive tackle to pick up where he left off in his rookie season.

Left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker put together a promising rookie season and the expectation is that he will also continue to develop, especially with Becton likely flanking his left side.
