The NY Jets have released their Week 14 list of inactives and rookie defensive end Micheal Clemons is among those not playing. Clemons was the only player on the Jets' injury report this week as he missed practice all week due to an illness.

This marks the first game this season that Clemons will be inactive as the Jets will roll with a nine-man defensive line rotation as they opted against elevating a defensive lineman from their practice squad.

There are no real surprises with the remainder of the Jets' inactives. The other five players are quarterback Zach Wilson, wide receiver Jeff Smith, cornerback Bryce Hall, safety Ashtyn Davis, and running back James Robinson.

Wilson is inactive for the third consecutive week as Joe Flacco will back up Mike White. The Jets continue to insist that they'd like to see Wilson play again this season, but that seems more unlikely as the weeks go on.

The NY Jets have no real surprises among their Week 14 inactives

Perhaps the most notable (but not surprising) inactive is Robinson who will once again be rendered a healthy scratch with Michael Carter returning from injury this week.

Robinson was a healthy scratch two weeks ago as the Jets opted to give undrafted rookie Zonovan Knight a chance. The move paid off as Knight has burst onto the scene over the last two weeks and proved he deserves a permanent role in the offense.

Expect Knight and Carter to split early-down work with Ty Johnson sprinkling in on third down. Knight might very well be the Jets' RB1 this week.

Smith is inactive again as the Jets will dress five wide receivers including Denzel Mims. Hall has not been active since Week 1 and it will remain that way barring injury.

Davis seems to be a healthy scratch after he missed last week due to injury but practiced this week and was left off the injury report. Undrafted rookie Tony Adams is active in his place.

The Jets also decided to dress four tight ends this week so both Kenny Yeboah and rookie Jeremy Ruckert will be active — perhaps a sign that the Jets would like to deploy a run-heavy offensive approach.
