The NY Jets have released their list of inactives ahead of their Week 11 meeting with the New England Patriots. Among those inactive are wide receiver Corey Davis and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins.

Both Davis and Rankins were ruled out on the final injury report so their inclusion among the inactives is not a surprise. Davis is set to miss his third consecutive game (fourth week) with a knee injury, although the Jets believe he will be back next week.

As for Rankins, the veteran defensive tackle injured his elbow in the team's Week 9 victory over the Buffalo Bills and is set to miss a few weeks. The Jets elevated Tanzel Smart from their practice squad to help fill in for Rankins.

The other five inactives are not a surprise with quarterback Joe Flacco, running back Zonovan Knight, safety Tony Adams, tight end Kenny Yeboah, and cornerback Bryce Hal rounding out the group.

Yeboah popped up on the injury report on Friday with a calf injury and was listed as doubtful going into the game. Rookie tight end Jeremy Ruckert will be active for the first time since Week 8 in his place.

The NY Jets will miss Corey Davis and Sheldon Rankins in Week 11

The one notable player who is not on the list is offensive guard Nate Herbig. Herbig missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday and was limited on Friday, but he will suit up on Sunday despite being listed as questionable.

With Davis sidelined, the Jets will likely lean on Denzel Mims once again. Mims has made the most of his snaps in Davis' absence and will look to continue maximizing his opportunities.

Rankins' absence will open up more playing time for Solomon Thomas and Nathan Shepherd. The Jets might also give the likes of John Franklin-Myers and Micheal Clemons more snaps in the interior.
