The NY Jets went into the 2022 NFL Draft with plenty of holes to fill and plenty of speculation, but after the dust settled, the team not only drafted studs at No. 4 and No. 10 but moved back into Round 1 to get another at No. 26.

It was revealed after the draft by general manager Joe Douglas that the three players the Jets selected, Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, and Jermaine Johnson, were all in the team's top-eight on their draft board, making it all the sweeter.

It’s safe to say that Jets fans could not have been happier after the 2022 haul following Alijah Vera-Tucker, Elijah Moore, and Zach Wilson in 2021, but it’s not only Jets fans that are praising this historic draft class for Gang Green.

Given the grades on these three players and the different holes that they fill for this Jets team, it comes as no surprise that many within the NFL community have nothing but good things to say about what Douglas accomplished last night.

Considering the Jets standing within the NFL over the past decade, it’s been no secret that they are the butt of all jokes, but after last night, it seems that everyone is beginning to take this squad seriously.

The Jets' social media wasn’t shy about how thrilled they were with Round 1 either as Douglas, Robert Saleh, and company were plastered all over Twitter celebrating three fantastic playmakers joining this young, up-and-coming squad.

It wasn’t only Twitter followers and analysts that were thrilled, as all three players seemed to be pumped about heading to the Big Apple, and if this culture shift continues, this could be a great team for years to come.

NFL games aren’t won on draft night — there is still plenty of work to do at One Jets Drive, especially with another few draft picks on days two and three of the NFL Draft. But this is a great start, and every Jets fan should be thrilled.
