The jubilation of the NY Jets signing Mecole Hardman on Wednesday quickly turned to a mixture of emotions following the team's decision to trade Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns.

One such individual who wasn't too pleased with the Moore trade was Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Wilson seemed happy about the Hardman acquisition, retweeting a couple of tweets about the Jets signing him.

Unfortunately, his response to the Moore trade was a tragic "Nooooooo" followed by two crying emojis. Wilson wasn't the only Jets player to react negatively to the news.

Offensive tackle Mekhi Becton shared a similar response while running back Michael Carter promised that he saw greatness in Moore's future.

NY Jets players are clearly sad to see Elijah Moore go

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Jets players have reacted negatively to this news. Despite Moore's public trade request last season, the former second-round pick seemed to be well-liked in the Jets' locker room.

Carter, in particular, was close to Moore as a fellow member of the Jets' 2021 draft class. Meanwhile, Wilson and Moore spent plenty of time together in the team's wide receiver room last season.

The NFL is a cold business, and Jets players are sad to see their teammate depart. Wilson, Becton, and Carter expressed their sadness on Twitter.

The silver lining is that the Jets likely aren't done adding to the wide receiver position. Rumors continue to swirl around a potential Odell Beckham signing, and the Jets could always look to draft a wide receiver as well.

The Jets will replace Moore, not just with Hardman either. The likes of Wilson, Becton, and Carter should soon have a new teammate to bond with.

Meanwhile, Elijah Moore will look to revitalize his career with a new team, much like he hoped for last season.
