The NY Jets are coming off their third straight loss and fifth loss in six games after falling to the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. But perhaps a matchup against the lowly Houston Texans could be enough to get them back on track.

It remains to be seen who will start at quarterback for the Jets, but the hope and expectation is that rookie Zach Wilson will make his return after missing the last four weeks.

Wilson will face a Texans team that entered this past Sunday with a 1-8 record, only to defeat the AFC's No. 1 seeded Tennessee Titans by multiple scores. The NFL is weird this year.

NY Jets vs. Houston Texans Prediction Week 12

It's hard to pick the Jets to win any game at this stage, hence why they enter as the betting underdogs even against a two-win Texans team. This Jets team is bad.

That said, something about this game gives me good feeling.

Maybe it's the hopeful return of Zach Wilson. Maybe it's the fact that the Jets are facing a team that's as bad as they are. Whatever it is, I feel like this is a game the Jets might just win.

Prior to their shocking win over the Titans, this is a Texans team that had lost eight straight including numerous blowout losses. They forced Ryan Tannehill to throw four interceptions in what might have been the worst game of his Titans career.

If they could do the same against the Jets, it's going to be a long day for Wilson or whoever the team's quarterback is.

But I have a feeling they come back down to earth this week. The Jets travel to NRG Stadium and pick up their third win of the season with Wilson leading them to victory.

The fan base finally has something to cheer about again. Final score of 28-24.
