NY Jets to sit with reservations

  • Allen Lazard
  • Jets Defense

I promise there will be a time when Allen Lazard will be on the start list, but I'm not sure if that will happen while Wilson's the starter. Under 200 yards means there is simply not enough yardage to go around, making Lazard extremely touchdown-dependent in an offense that has only produced four passing touchdowns in five games.

Another blunder. I suggested sitting the Jets' defense because they failed to cause two of the most turnover-prone quarterbacks in the entire league to commit a turnover.

I ignored the fact that a combined five(!) interceptions were forced against two of the game's best and left it a 'coin toss' whether or not they'd have Russell Wilson's number or not.

Jalen Hurts is much closer to the ilk of Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen than the likes of Dak Prescott and Mac Jones, and he is actually averaging one turnover per game (four picks, one fumble lost), but I think this is the game that the Eagles clean up their act.

Why is that? Well, they are the league's second-most prolific rushing attack with 164 yards per game, and the Jets allow 146.2 yards per game, 29th in the league.

I expect the Eagles to run all over MetLife Stadium and prevent the Jets from getting the opportunity to jump routes or strip the ball from Hurts.
