NY Jets to start with reseverations

  • Tyler Conklin
  • Zach Wilson (!)
  • Greg Zuerlein

You guys laughed at me for suggesting to start Tyler Conklin against the Cowboys, but for PPR owners, he produced 10 points! That's solid production from someone barely rostered (11.2% of ESPN leagues). I think he will continue to be Wilson's safety valve, where he was second in targets but first in receptions on the team last year.

Conklin's four catches for 58 yards against the Chiefs might not be superstar numbers, but he has been the 2nd-most targeted Jets player in each of the last three games.

If he can fend off the touchdown-stealing from his taller counterparts at tight end, Conklin is a super-safe option to start at the weakest position in fantasy football. He's one of the few tight ends in the league with an established floor.

I never thought I'd tell anyone to even pick up Zach Wilson off of the waiver wire, let alone start him in a real week, but the numbers here are just too staggering to ignore. The Broncos are allowing opposing QBs to complete 78% of their passes for over 285 yards per game and three touchdowns per game.

They've faced Jimmy Garoppolo, Sam Howell, Tua Tagovailoa, and Justin Fields — there is tangible hope that Zach Wilson will continue this alarming trend for the Broncos' defense.

If he just matches these numbers, it will be the best game of his career and a very solid fantasy outing. He's worth taking a chance on as he builds on his current best game of his career.

Greg Zuerlein had his first missed field goal of the season last game, a 52-yarder, but I am not at all worried about his efficiency. He remains perfect within 50 yards, and if the offense has its way with this defense, he won't need to attempt too many more 50-yarders this week.

The only reason why he's not higher on the bulleted list is because I suspect more drives will finish in the end zone than usual.
