Was last week a turning point in Zach Wilson's career? Will the NY Jets offense be exciting to watch this season? We don't know the answer to these loaded questions, but we can at least predict what will happen this week from a Fantasy Football perspective.
The great news is that this matchup heavily favors our beloved NY Jets. While the Broncos' defensive stats for the season are heavily weighed down by a historic allowance of 70 points and 724 total yards against the Dolphins, the numbers in their other three games this season don't look too hot either.
Imagine if they had to face the likes of Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, or Dak Prescott. They are currently allowing nearly 300 passing yards, three touchdowns per game, and an astonishingly high 78% completion to four quarterbacks widely considered to be average (or worse) quarterbacks.
Spoiler alert: Zach Wilson will be featured on this list.
NY Jets to sit with confidence
- Dalvin Cook
- C.J. Uzomah
If you're looking for reasons to give up on Dalvin Cook being a viable fantasy option (or real-life NFL player), you have come to the right website. Check The Jet Press Twitter page for plenty of stats, metrics, and insights that have all but eulogized the career of one of the most talented running backs on the planet over the last five seasons.
C.J. Uzomah is another player who should probably be on the field less, but as the only other pass-catching veteran on the team over 6-foot-4 (Allen Lazard), he still finds steady work in red zone packages. Perhaps one day, Jeremy Ruckert, also 6-foot-5, will replace him in these situations, but for now, Uzomah is still a candidate to get that random touchdown from time to time.
Still, his ceiling is fairly low and his floor is absolute rock bottom. Keep him on the waiver wire.
