NY Jets to start with confidence

  • Garrett Wilson
  • Zonovan Knight

Garrett Wilson will be here for the rest of the year. The thing that stinks is that it's very possible (dare I say likely) that he doesn't score a touchdown for the rest of the season since he has only caught them from Flacco and White so far. Even so, he is seemingly a lock for at least four catches and 70+ yards.

Even if they only come on chunk throws as they did against Detroit, that's perfectly fine in standard leagues where the catches don't matter. PPR players, just pray White comes back next week so you can get that extra boost of 8+ catches for your championship game next week.

Last week I proclaimed Zonovan Knight as a huge boom-or-bust candidate and very accurately broke down how the rushing attack has been bad for weeks but got opened up by competent passing from Mike White.

Against the Lions, Zach Wilson had three throws combined for almost half of his total yardage. Although the Jets got those yards, they weren't able to move the chains or drive down the field consistently so Knight was held to an abysmal 1.8 yards per carry.

The Jaguars allow 118.1 rushing yards per game on the season but in their last three games, that number jumps to 130.3 yards per game. I believe with LaFleur trying to reign Wilson in and get this win, we will see his best running plays called and Knight will once again get his chance to be the bell cow.

This time, I expect him to have success, and he may even score a touchdown in this one. One thing I can say pretty confidently is if he does score a touchdown, it will be from further than 10 yards out, so his touchdowns will be at least seven points in fantasy.

Unfortunately, Mike White is still sitting this one out so I'd imagine his target count with Wilson under center to remain at zero, but 80 yards that include a 17-yard scamper would be a solid 14-point outing regardless of the scoring type of your league. Good luck!
