The NY Jets are set to travel out west in Week 17 to take on the Seattle Seahawks in what is essentially a must-win game for both squads. Both the Jets and Seahawks will be playing for their postseason lives and neither can afford a loss.

A Jets loss would officially eliminate them from playoff contention while a Seahawks loss would all but seal their fate going into the final week of the season. It's truly do-or-die as far as the playoffs are concerned.

The Jets will return quarterback Mike White for the first time since he was injured in the team's Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills a few weeks back. White's return could provide a spark for a Jets' offense that has been stagnant with Zach Wilson under center.

From the playoff implications to the numerous revenge game narratives, this week's cross-conference matchup has plenty of intrigue. Let's take a look at three of the best bets to make in this Week 17 game. All odds are courtesy of FanDuel.

Best NY Jets Bets Week 17

NY Jets 1.5-point spread (-110)

The Jets entered the week as one-point underdogs on the road against the Seahawks before the betting odds shifted in favor of Gang Green. At one point, the Jets were even two-point favorites on the road in Seattle.

This is despite the Jets losing each of their last four games. We call that the Mike White effect.

Vegas is high on the Jets entering Week 17 and the oddsmakers certainly believe White will provide a significant boost to the Jets' offense. It also helps that the Seahawks are struggling as well, having lost five of their last six.

I think White will give the Jets the offensive spark they've been missing while the defense will be enough to limit a Seahawks offense that has failed to top 13 points in each of their last two outings.

Garrett Wilson any time touchdown scorer (+160)

Garrett Wilson has only managed to score a touchdown in two games this season, but in each game he's scored, he's managed to find the end zone twice.

It's notable that some of Wilson's best performances of the season have come with Mike White throwing him the ball, and the rookie wideout could be in for a big day with White back under center.

Wilson went for 95, 162, and 78 in each of White's last three starts including a two-touchdown performance against the Chicago Bears. We could see a repeat of that in Week 17.

OVER 42.5-point total (-110)

Neither of these offenses has performed especially well over the last few weeks. The Seahawks have managed just 23 combined points over their last two games while the Jets have scored just 20.

For that reason, it might not seem wise to take the over. But with White back in the starting lineup, the Jets' offense could find some new hope — that is, of course, if the offensive line can hold its own.

Seattle's offense is due for a bounce-back game, and it's not as if the yards haven't been there. They've just failed to capitalize in the red zone, much like the Jets have.

Both offenses are due for a productive day so I'm comfortable taking the over this week despite their recent performances.
