The 2021 NY Jets schedule has officially been released. There are plenty of things to look forward to this year.

The obvious one being rookie quarterback Zach Wilson. Jets fans hope he will be the answer they have been searching for and can lead the team to the promised land.

Not only should Jets fans be looking forward to watching Wilson play, but they should also keep some games circled on their calendar. Of course, fans should have the division rival games in their mind, as last year the Jets were swept by the division.

Division games are always fun to watch, but difficult to win. If the Jets can win some of these games this year, it would be a great way to get the terrible taste out of the fans' mouths from all of the losses last season.

Also, there are plenty of other games Jets fans should look forward to. And the good news is, most of these games are winnable for the Jets. We take a look at five games on the Jets' 2021 schedule that fans should be excited about.

Week 1: NY Jets @ Carolina Panthers

This is an obvious one. The Jets will be playing against Sam Darnold and Robby Anderson.

Darnold and Wilson will be compared for the rest of their careers. The media will discuss how Wilson inherited a much better situation than Darnold. There will also be plenty of speculation on the "what-if" scenarios.

Anderson was able to set new career highs in his first year with the Carolina Panthers. People might be expecting the same thing for Darnold. This game will help shed some light on if general manager Joe Douglas made the right decision.

Besides all of the headlines that come with this game, it will be a great way to see what kind of season can be expected for the Jets. After coming off of a 2-14 season last year, fans are hungry for wins.

If Robert Saleh can deliver one in the first week, it would be an excellent start to his Jets career.

Moreover, fans can see how Douglas' draft looks out of the gate. With the Jets selecting three players in the top 34 picks of the 2021 NFL Draft, expectations are high for them to perform.

Overall, this first game of the season will be one Jets fans should be excited for and thinking about constantly.
