The NY Jets schedule was recently released, and while it's a tough start to the 2022 campaign, the Jets have a great chance to have their best record since 2015, a season in which they went 10-6.

With all the new talent New York added like Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner, Jordan Whitehead, Breece Hall, and many others, this team is young, talented, and confident.

While we will need to wait and see how the Jets compete against the big heavyweight teams, there are games that they match up on talent with their opponents, and if the Jets can win those, it will be a big step forward for the organization.

Those games, unfortunately, are few and far between, and while there are no guarantees in the NFL, as any team could win on any given day, the following are five games in the 2022 NFL season that the Jets can't afford to lose.

1. The NY Jets can't afford to lose Week 5 to the Dolphins

The Jets start with four games against the AFC North, and while two, potentially three, of those are winnable, they will be underdogs in all four. After that comes a home game against a division rival, one that the Jets can't lose under any circumstance.

Sure, Miami has plenty of talent, especially after Tyreek Hill chose South Beach over New York, but with an unproven QB under center and plenty of new talent on this Jets squad, this is one they could win and one they desperately need too.

The Jets could possibly steal a win or two from their first four weeks against the AFC North, and a win here would give the team a great start to the season. They could also start 0-4, meaning this would be even more important to everyone in this organization.
