NY Jets Schedule 2021: Game-by-game predictions

Week 9: NY Jets @ Indianapolis Colts

This will be the lone primetime matchup for the Jets, and they surely will want to impress. Wilson will be going up against Carson Wentz, who presents one of the league’s biggest wild cards this season.

As much as Jets fans will want to see their fiery, young squad pull off an upset on Thursday night, the Colts are a contender. They have a fantastic defense and can give the Jets' offense trouble for all four quarters.

Prediction: Loss (2-6)

Week 10: vs Buffalo Bills

It would be one thing if this were the old, pushover Buffalo Bills. But it is not.

The Bills are not only the favorite to win the AFC East again in 2021, but among the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl. Sean McDermott and company have built an amazing culture in upstate New York, and even at MetLife Stadium, Bills Mafia will be present.

Stealing one from the Bills would be nice. But it's not going to come any time this season.

Prediction: Loss (2-7)

Week 11: NY Jets vs. Miami Dolphins

Similar to New England, the Jets' best chance of catching the Dolphins off guard is at home. Miami is a team that took a huge leap in their rebuild last season and will look to build off of it in 2021.

It will be a big test for Wilson, who will have to compete against the cornerback tandem of Xavien Howard and Byron Jones. Nonetheless, the inconsistent play of Miami’s offense in the past could help Gang Green pull off this upset at home.

Prediction: Win (3-7)
