The NY Jets have had what many would consider quite the interesting season to this point. Through nine weeks, they sit at 2-6 which is probably about what most expected going into the year.
However, their path to 2-6 has been anything but ordinary.
Those two victories have come against the now-AFC-best Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals, who were the best team in the conference until they traveled to MetLife Stadium to meet the Jets.
On top of that, the latter of those two wins came on the heels of a miraculous, history-making performance from Mike White of all players.
It's been a strange year for Gang Green, and we still have another two months to go. Now that we've passed the halfway point of the season, it's a good time to take a look back at how a few players have performed.
In this case, we'll be focusing on four players who have exceeded expectations through eight games.
The Jets currently have an overall record that most would have expected at this point in the season. But a number of players have both fallen short of and exceeded expectations to get to that point.
