NY Jets vs. Patriots top prop bets to make for NFL Week 7 game
By Jon Jeune
New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers' receiving yards prop is 57.5 (o/u)
New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is building on his mini-breakout from last season. The third-year pro is on pace for career highs in targets, catches, and receiving yards. The only number he's technically not on pace to exceed is his notorious career touchdown total of zero.
I'm sure a player seeing as much work as he is will eventually find the end zone, but that is not what we are here to discuss. The Patriots' lead receiver has cleared 57 yards receiving in just two of his six contests this season.
While he sees a lot of targets, they are closer to the line of scrimmage. Meyers' aDOT of 8.9 ranks 43rd of all wide receivers with at least 30 targets. He is also going against a Jets secondary led by young players Bryce Hall and Michael Carter who have played well through five games.
The Jets held Meyers to just 38 yards receiving in their first matchup and I think they limit his yardage total again in this one.
My Projection: 55 receiving yards (UNDER)
