The NY Jets are set to play their final game of what has been a disastrous and forgettable 2023 season today when they take on the New England Patriots in Week 18.

The Jets will be looking to secure their first victory over the Patriots in eight years and their first win on the road in Foxborough in nearly 15 years. But there is something else at stake, too.

A win for the Jets in this game could solidify a top-two pick for their archrivals, giving them a chance to select one of the top quarterbacks in this year's class. Patriots fans are almost definitely rooting for their team to lose.

The Jets could win this game and send Bill Belichick off with a loss in what could be his final game with the Patriots organization, or they could lose, improve their own draft position, and play spoiler to their rivals.

The Jets will be without a number of key players in this game as quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) and Zach Wilson (concussion) have been ruled out. The same is true for tight end Jeremy Ruckert (concussion) and offensive lineman Jake Hanson (concussion).

Wilson, Ruckert, and Hanson were officially placed on the injured reserve on Saturday, ending their seasons. Rodgers and offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer, listed as doubtful with a calf injury, are the only two expected injured inactives for the Jets today.

As for the Patriots, offensive tackle Trent Brown (illness) and tight end Hunter Henry (knee) have been declared out for this Week 18 game. A whopping 12 players are also listed as questionable.

Defensive tackle Christian Barmore (knee), tight end Pharoah Brown (ribs), defensive back Myles Bryant (illness), linebacker Anfernee Jennings (knee), cornerback Jonathan Jones (knee), safety Jalen Mills (ankle), wide receiver DeVante Parker (ribs), safety Jabrill Peppers (hamstring), special-teamer Matthew Slater (hamstring), linebacker Jahlani Tavai (tooth), wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (ankle), and cornerback Shaun Wade (hip) are all questionable.
