You'd be hard-pressed to find many head coaches under more pressure to succeed this season than Robert Saleh. The fourth-year NY Jets head coach oversaw his second consecutive loss on Sunday, as his team fell 23-17 to the Minnesota Vikings.

On the surface, a six-point loss to arguably the best team in the NFL shouldn't be an immediate cause for panic, but the final scoreline doesn't tell the full story. The Jets' offense is a mess, and the coaching staff is rightfully receiving the bulk of the blame.

Saleh is under fire from both fans and media alike, with many calling for his job. Former WFAN host Mike Francesa is among those who believe Saleh should be fired following Sunday's loss, insisting that he would part ways with the former defensive coordinator if he was the Jets' owner.

Francesa isn't alone. Fingers are being pointed at Saleh for the Jets' continued shortcomings, and that's not going to change unless the Jets start to stack positive results. Week 5 was a step in the wrong direction.

Michael Carter II injury update

The Jets' secondary was hit hard by a string of injuries on Sunday, with the first coming before the game even begun. Standout nickel cornerback Michael Carter II suffered a hamstring injury during pre-game warmups and was immediately listed as doubtful to "return."

Carter would miss the entire game, with fellow star cornerback Sauce Gardner temporarily joining him on the sideline before returning. Backup safety/cornerback Isaiah Oliver filled in for Carter while Brandin Echols came in to replace Gardner, even recording an interception.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters on Monday that the severity of Carter's injury is unknown at this time and that he will undergo further evaluation. The Jets should have an update on Carter later this week.

If Carter were to miss any time, the Jets could roll with either Oliver or Echols as both players have experience playing nickel cornerback. Gardner appears to be okay after his injury scare.

Garrett Wilson makes weird history

The Jets made it a point of emphasis to get Garrett Wilson the ball in London after the talented wide receiver struggled at times to connect with Aaron Rodgers over the first four weeks of the season. Their efforts weren't in vain.

Wilson finished the game with 13 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown and was targeted a whopping 22 times. That's the most targets any NFL player has received in a game since Antonio Brown in Week 9 of the 2015 season.

But wait there's more. Wilson's 101 receiving yards were the second-lowest for any pass-catcher with 20+ targets in a game since at least 2006. The only player with fewer is Davante Adams, who recorded 79 yards on 21 targets with Aaron Rodgers throwing him passes in 2015.

Coincidence? It's possible. We do know that Rodgers loves to feed his top receivers. Perhaps Wilson and Adams will be competing for targets from Rodgers in the near future.
