The NY Jets met with former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr on Friday night into Saturday as the team continues to do their due diligence on the quarterback market this offseason.

Carr and the Jets reportedly had dinner on Friday night, but that wasn't the extent of their dining plans. One Twitter user actually tweeted out a photo of Carr and the Jets out to lunch Saturday afternoon.

Carr is seen smiling in the photo with at least three representatives from the Jets in attendance. Head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett appear to be two of the Jets' representatives.

Carr's visit with the Jets was expected to conclude on Saturday. Now, the four-time Pro Bowler could embark on another official visit, perhaps next to Carolina. The Jets, meanwhile, await Aaron Rodgers' decision.

Could the Jets trade Elijah Moore this offseason?

Trade talks surrounding Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore have quieted down quite a bit in the months following his shocking trade request in October. The two sides seem to have mended their relationship.

But could a trade still happen this offseason? That was the scenario explored by Thomas Christopher of Jets X Factor who evaluated the cases for and against trading Moore.

Christopher insisted that trading Moore was the more appealing solution given his recent issues with the organization. Personally, I find it hard to believe the Jets will trade Moore, and there really isn't a reason to at this point.

Moore seemed to put aside his issues once Mike White took over at QB, and the addition of a new quarterback this offseason should only make him happier. You don't trade away good young talent unless you have to.

The Jets don't have to trade Elijah Moore.

Former Jets wide receiver Deontay Burnett helped lead his Houston Roughnecks to a 33-12 victory over the Orlando Guardians with an eight-catch, 90-yard day that included this highlight-reel grab.

A former college teammate of Sam Darnold at USC, Burnett appeared in five games with the Jets in 2018, hauling in 10 catches for 143 yards.

Another former Jets player who made his presence felt was former nose tackle T.J. Barnes. Barnes secured the game-sealing sack for his Arlington Renegades on a potentially game-tying two-point conversion attempt with eight seconds to play.
