Through the first two days of training camp practices, the Jets have made it abundantly clear that there will be a renewed focus on the running game this year.

And we're not just talking about more overall carries. We're talking about success running the football.

The running game has been one of the most impressive parts about the Jets this summer and no running back has been more impressive than Michael Carter.

The Jets' fourth-round pick was the first running back taking snaps on both Wednesday and Thursday and seems primed to play a major role in his rookie season.

Carter broke off multiple long runs showing excellent vision and quick feet. What was most impressive was his burst and acceleration in the second level.

Carter wasn't the only Jets running back to have a big day. Tevin Coleman, La'Mical Perine, Ty Johnson, Josh Adams, and Austin Walter each rattled off at least one long run. Yes, that's every running back on the Jets roster.

The Jets' offensive line was a big part of the team's rushing success with Mekhi Becton and Alijah Vera-Tucker opening up holes on the left side.

The Jets will likely be leaning on their running game more in 2021 than in previous years. And Michael Carter will be a big part of that.
