The NY Jets are set to enter 2021 training camp looking to shed the stench of what was a truly abysmal 2020 campaign. Their moves this offseason helped accelerate the process.

The decision to move on from Adam Gase and replace him with former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh has received widespread praise.

As have the various roster moves the team made such as the signings of Carl Lawson and Corey Davis and the additions of players like Zach Wilson, Alijah Vera-Tucker, and Elijah Moore in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Yes, the Jets organization looks vastly different than it did a year ago. But change oftentimes brings forth competition which isn't always good news for the returning players on the roster.

Training camp is a time for players to prove themselves. To prove that they deserve a starting role, to prove that they deserve playing time, or simply to prove that they deserve a spot on the roster.

The pads come on as teams prepare for the impending preseason followed by the start of the regular season. It's essentially the unofficial start of the football season.

The Jets will have a number of roster and position battles this summer with returning players trying to fend off newcomers. For some players, this might be their final chance at redemption.

These five players all have something to prove and they will hope to use training camp as the means to provide that proof.

We take a look at five Jets players with the most to prove in 2021 training camp.
